Elemis Dynamic Resurfacing Facial Pads Honest Review | June 2022
Elemis have fast become one of my favourite skincare brands. I’ve really enjoyed every single product I’ve tried of theirs, and I have quite a few Elemis products that feature in my daily skincare routine. So, I’m always up for trying different Elemis products, and I decided to buy the Elemis Dynamic Resurfacing Facial Pads to see what they were like.
Elemis Dynamic Resurfacing Facial Pads
I’ve reviewed a lot of exfoliating pads here on Gemma Etc over the last (almost) ten years, and they truly are one of my favourite skincare products to use within my skincare routine.
I have super dry and dehydrated skin, which leaves my skin feeling quite rough and textured. So, I religiously use exfoliating pads every day, to try and improve textural issues and improve the appearance of my skin when wearing foundation.
“These gentle yet effective resurfacing pads deliver a measured dose of patented^ Tri-Enzyme Technology for smoother-looking skin. Formulated with Lactic Acid and Probiotic Ferment Complex, they are clinically proven* to accelerate skin’s natural cell turnover in 28 days. Used twice daily, these textured pads help reduce the look of dark spots, pores and uneven skin texture. Convenient and easy to use, they physically lift away dead cells and gently exfoliate, leaving the skin looking significantly smoother and brighter.“
The Elemis Dynamic Resurfacing Facial Pads are available in two different sizes. There’s a travel size for £14 pads, and it contains 14 pads, which is just perfect for trips, then the full size version is £42 for 60 pads. They are pricey compared to the likes of the Pixi Glow Pads and the Nip and Fab Glycolic Fix Pads, but the claims of these pads have much more impressive claims, with clinical trial results to back them up.
Plus, you’re getting 60 pads in the jar. The pads can be used both morning and night, but I personally use them in the mornings, so one jar lasts me for around two months, so when you break that down, that’s £21 a month, and to me, it’s worth it to have such insanely smooth, and texture-free skin.
Visually, the Elemis Dynamic Resurfacing Facial Pads are identical to any other acid-based exfoliator pad. It’s white, with a raised bump texture, which helps with sloughing away dead skin cells. However, the material the Elemis pads are made from, is stronger than the likes of Pixi, Nip & Fab and COSRX, so they don’t start to disintegrate the second you start using them. Which means I can use one pad on my face, neck and the backs of my hands.
I find the Elemis Resurfacing Facial Pads to be very effective, yet somehow they manage to be very gentle. Not only do the pads make my skin feel smoother, but it looks smoother too, and the proof is in how my foundation sits on the skin.
Dry patches are noticeably minimised, and I prefer to use the pads in the morning, as they genuinely do leave my skin with a glass-like glow, just like Elemis claims. I feel like that ‘glow’ is wasted by using them at night, but I really love them, and have repurchased them twice in the last twelve months, which shows how much I love them, and I have a review of the (divine) Pro-Radiance Hand and Nail Cream coming very soon.
