This Smudge-Free Liquid Eyeliner Also Contains Lash-Enhancing Serum
I, like many other people, especially busy moms, love and appreciate a good two-in-one product. This summer, Grande Cosmetics added a new product to its all-star lineup, and it’s the ultimate two-in-one: GrandeLINER Liquid Eyeliner with Lash Enhancing Serum. I recently gave it a test-drive, and it delivered—read on for my full review—but I wouldn’t expect anything less from the eyelash queen herself, founder Alicia Grande. (You can try the liner too in this week’s installment of BeautyPass’s Free Gift Friday, and you’ll also get the brand’s GrandeBUFF Moisturizing Lip Scrub! The Benefits:
There are several things to love about this formula: It has a precision-tip brush that makes it possible to achieve a thin, steady line; it’s super pigmented and jet-black; it’s water-resistant and won’t let you down through a few tears; and it won’t smudge or flake either. It also lasts for 12 hours without fading to get you through the workday and a dinner date. But, the big icing-on-the-cake feature that I love so much is that it’s infused with eyelash-enhancing serum, so it works double-duty. It’s not the exact formula used in the brand’s famous GrandeLASH-MD serum (they can’t be because of the format), but it’s still going to condition your lashes and help them appear longer and thicker if you use it daily. (Don’t expect any results if you use it once in a blue moon for a night out with friends; it’s best as an everyday option.)
And though I’m not an everyday-eyeliner kind of gal, I have also recommended this to family members and friends who are, and heard nothing but good things. I’m also no makeup maestro, but I could apply this one easily after a few tries. In a 12-week consumer study with 31 participants, research showed that 96 percent of people saw longer-looking lashes and felt that the eyeliner worked well for all skill levels. Additionally, 95 percent thought it provided an intense black color and 93 percent said it didn’t feather or bleed. Below, before-and-after pictures at baseline and 12 weeks (that’s amazing from an eyeliner!).
How to Use It:
Shake it well and dab off any excess product before applying to your upper lash line from corner to corner like you would any eyeliner. You can go over the line more than once if you prefer a thicker look, and you can also flick it out or draw a wing if you’re skilled in that department (I prefer felt-tip liners for that personally). Do not apply it to your waterline, Alicia reminded me, and to remove it, use an oil-based makeup remover. “You can also pair it with GrandeLASH-MD to maximum improvement because GradeLINER boosts the improvement of GrandeLASH,” she says. And if there’s a day you don’t want to wear eyeliner, just use the serum by itself at night before bed. If you use the liner every day with a basic line (no artistic tricks), it should last you three months, which is the same life cycle of the lash serum, too.
The Bottom Line:
If you love double-duty products and you wear liquid eyeliner every day, this is one to try. Why not up your lash game by getting a huge bonus benefit from the one step you already do?
