What can you expect after 7 days (nights!) of the Filorga NCEF-Night Mask?

I was sent the Filorga NCEF-Night Mask, and was intrigued, because it posed me a challenge. Use it for 7 days (nights) straight, and see the results!

Why, of course, I did!

I never back down from a challenge 😉

Well, what might you expect to see after 7 nights? Or even after just 1 night?

Filorga NCEF-Night Mask

The Filorga NCEF-Night Mask is tailored for those with stressed, tired skin. You know the drill. Some nights, you don’t sleep well, and that means you wake up with skin that’s dull and lacklustre.

NCEF (New Cellular Treatment Factor) is a unique polyrevitaliser complex developed by Laboratoires FILORGA is formulated with over 50 ingredients combined for the first time in quantities comparable to those used in meso-injections. This superstar complex extends the benefits of the active ingredients in hyaluronic acid-based injectables with the result that skin is plumper, smoother and radiantly youthful.

In the NCEF-Night Mask, Filorga has included Melatonin’CX®, a powerful skin revitaliser, that acts overnight to refresh features while peptides plump the skin. The gel mask rids skin of external pollutants and hydrates and rejuvenates skin throughout the night with a combination of hyaluronic acid and collagen, so you awaken to more radiant skin.

In layman terms, this mask, which acts as a sleeping mask, will plump and rehydrate your skin so it looks more radiant and rejuvenated in the morning.

Plumps and rehydrates skin after just 1 use

I must admit that I was quite impressed with the results after just one use. I applied a layer of the peach toned gel mask, left it on to absorb, and then went to sleep.

The next morning, after washing my face, my skin felt noticeably smoother and more plumped, and my skin looked better.

It must be noted that I have not been using a mask for a little while, and I also used this after a day when I had prolonged sun exposure. My skin was therefore a little sensitive by evening, and the gel mask helped cool and calm it nicely.

Quick absorbing leaving no residue

I don’t recommend piling it on with a trowel, as it might not absorb properly, and you then end up marking your sheets and pillow case. Instead, apply a generous layer, and allow it to absorb into the skin.

It does absorb quite quickly, and you can speed it up by massaging it into your skin a little. Your skin might feel a little tacky with it on, but it isn’t uncomfortable (to me). I don’t find it marking my sheets either.

Fragrance can be a little strong

My biggest bug bear is the scent, which I personally find a little strong. It is a floral, fruity scent, and can be quite pleasant, but I am quite sensitive to having heavily scented products on my skin. It does dissipate, or maybe you just get used to it.

The texture however is lovely, being a rather thick gel texture. You can keep the jar in the fridge and enjoy a lovely icy cold gel mask, which perks up the skin for a quick rejuvenation.

So what can you expect after 7 nights using Filorga NCEF-Night Mask?

Well, more of the same really LOL! 😛

If your skin is feeling particularly dry or dull, the 7 night routine will help replenish the hydration, and your skin will feel smoother and more supple. After that, maintain it by using it every other day or once or twice a week.

It isn’t very hard to keep in your routine, as you can just use it on its own right after cleansing. So, it’s perfect for lazy nights, or after a long busy day, when you don’t feel like running through a full routine, yet want something that will perk your skin up the next morning.

Use it also if you have to put on a good face the next morning, especially if you have a meeting the next day. Even if you feel like crap from pulling an all-nighter, your skin doesn’t have to show it 😉

Is this any different from any other sleeping mask?

To be fair, it does operate like most other sleeping masks in the market. You put it on, you go to sleep, it plumps your skin and you wake up with lovely, radiant skin.

For me, the difference is that I feel the results to be a smidge better, in that it seems to last more than a day. However, I do also think that it is to do with your lifestyle.

If you have a very hectic lifestyle that involves a lot of late nights, whether for fun or for work, then a mask like this will help your skin temporarily, but it won’t be a long-term fix. You’d need to focus on your serums and creams for a longer-lasting result.

If you have an average lifestyle or have that odd lazy evening when you just don’t feel like putting on a full set of skincare, then this one’s a good option. It does feel like it does more than just plump the skin with hyaluronic acid. But it does leave skin looking refreshed and rejuvenated the next morning, and that is a nice pick-me-up!

IN A NUTSHELL

The Filorga NCEF-Night Mask is a gel-based mask that you leave on overnight on your skin. It will absorb into the skin and doesn’t not feel sticky nor does it mark your sheets. I do find that it helps plump the skin with hydration and makes it feel smoother and look more radiant the next morning. If you ‘activate’ it by going the full 7 nights to begin with, and then maintaining it with 1-2 times a week use, you can expect to see skin that is smoother and brighter and better. If you already use a sleeping mask regularly, then the effects may not be as immediately noticeable.

Have you tried the Filorga NCEF-Night Mask? Do you still use sleeping masks?

Sleeping masks were all the rage a few years ago. I personally don’t use them as regularly as I used to, but I do notice effects when I do, which makes it nice for a pick-me-up product for when the skin needs a boost! 🙂
