WakeMed Plans Two Hospital Facilities In North Carolina – HCD Magazine

WakeMed Health & Hospitals (Raleigh, N.C.) is filing two certificates of need with the state of North Carolina to build a mental health facility in Wake County[no location selected], N.C., and a hospital in Garner, N.C., according to the website newsobserver.com

The 150-bed mental health hospital will include separate units for adolescents, young adults, adults, and seniors.

The WakeMed Garner Hospital is planned to house 45 acute care beds, 24 emergency department bays, and outpatient services.

The projects are expected to break ground by fall 2024 and open in 2027.
