These Were Queen Elizabeth’s Favorite Beauty Products

Queen Elizabeth II, one of the most iconic figures and leaders of modern history, passed away this afternoon. She was 96.

With 70 years of service, duty and honor under her belt, Britain’s longest-reigning monarch was responsible for countless British and Commonwealth victories and strides of progress. She was also known for her elegance, radiant smile, the high esteem in which she held her husband, Prince Phillip, and her role of a mother, and her children. (Prince Charles, now King Charles of England, has assumed the throne.)

Speaking more frivolously, history will also remember Her Majesty the Queen by her beloved corgis, her iconic and colorful wardrobe, and her youthful skin, even at 96 years old. While a royal secret or two may have been behind her radiant glow, we know the Queen did have a favorite skin-care product she relied on.

According to an article from Bustle, a press representative from Elizabeth Arden confirmed that the brand collaborated with the late Queen’s senior dresser, Angela Kelly. And, it’s rumored that the Queen’s skin was so flawless because of one hero product from the brand: Elizabeth Arden 8 Hour Cream ($25).

More products that could also be found in Her Majesty’s beauty lineup: a classic nude nail color, specifically Essie Ballet Slippers ($9), which wore for more than 30 years, a fresh-smelling bath soap like Molton Brown Orange & Bergamot Bath ($32) and a rich pink lipstick. The one the Queen wore was a custom color created by Clarins for her coronation. A similar shade is Clarins Joli Rouge Lipstick in 713 Hot Pink.

Queen Elizabeth II may be gone, but her memory—and her beauty secrets—live on.
