After you’ve spent a long time on your makeup, the last thing you want to see is any smudging, fading, or flaking. Nope, I don’t want to see it—except maybe at the end of the night when I’m heading home. Then I’ll give it a pass because it’s less makeup to take off when I’m washing my face before bed, right?

Now, I don’t think I need to tell you that making sure your makeup has major staying power depends on the products you’re using. Primers, setting sprays, and setting powders all come in handy. Formulas that are labeled “long-lasting” can help (if chosen wisely since labels can lie). And when in doubt, go waterproof.
