Simone Biles Has the Best Styling Hack For Wearing Cutoffs in the Fall

Ever the jet-setter, Simone Biles is currently enjoying an end-of-summer trip to Mexico City, where she appears to be on a trip mixed with both work and pleasure. Though it’s not yet clear what job has taken her south of the US-Mexico border, she posted about her enthusiasm for the adventure. With a snap on Instagram, where she’s standing in front of a line of cacti, she writes, “when mexico city calls for work, you go.”

In the photo, Biles kept her summertime wardrobe going strong, rocking one of the go-to looks of the season: a trusty crop-top and denim-shorts combination. In the pic, she’s standing with green cacti in front of a bright-red wall that reads “México Mi Amor.” Wardrobe-wise, Biles styled a pair of distressed jean shorts with a black spaghetti-strap crop top that looks straight out of the early 2000s. For a little bit more coverage, the Olympian tossed a white button-down over her shoulders, a popular trend we’ve been seeing more frequently on her lately. Not to mention, this layering trick helps you transition all your crop-top-and-shorts pairings into the cooler fall months. Biles finished off the denim-shorts look with a pair of bright-white sneakers, another sporty addition she’s had in regular rotation.

The 25-year-old is fresh off of her Turks and Caicos vacation, where she stepped out in a host of colorful bikinis, including her bright-green string style that she shared on Instagram just before the holiday weekend. Biles also sported a similar look to this most recent one toward the end of June when she slipped into jean shorts, a white crop top, and a plaid flannel shirt layered over.

Though summer may be winding down, Biles’s arsenal of style inspiration will keep fashionistas inspired well into the fall. From date-night ensembles to poolside outfits, she will find creative ways to transition her summer staples into the next season and beyond.
