Megan Thee Stallion’s Space-Age Manicure: More Proof That Holographic Beauty Is Back

There’s a chance Megan Thee Stallion‘s latest metallic manicure is inspired by the anime character designed for her new album, Traumazine. Not only is the rapper’s 18-track album gaining major momentum, but so are her interstellar nails that are further proving this year’s grand comeback of holographic beauty.

On August 14, she served a real-life visual of a metallic-looking manicure while posing with a bearded dragon — named Billiam, by the way — camouflaged beautifully on her arm, then chest. Though holographic nail colors like this one have been around since the early 2010s, Meg kept her approach to the nail shape modern with her signature lipstick slant, a shape that gained its trend status at the start of 2020.

Meg’s nails are a lazy maximalist’s dream. Fiery in length yet striking to the eye with only one color. Her acrylic tips mirrored the bulky beads laid across her neck and the silver cuff attached to her wrist. Billiam seemed to feel quite cozy on the rapper’s arm. Who’d’ve thunk a bearded dragon would be just the right complement to these space-age, holographic nails?
