Maybelline Anti-Age Perfector 4-in-1 | British Beauty Blogger
[unpaid/purchase] I couldn’t let this pass me by – an ‘anti-ageing’ product with a picture of a teenager on the box. The Maybelline Anti-Age Perfector 4-in-1 is a concealer, a powder, a corrector and a BB Creme all in one although the difference between a corrector and a concealer is a mystery.
I can safely say this ‘mousse’ is only anti-ageing to those who have no needs in that area. Usually, brands can get away with labelling things anti-ageing if they whack a bit of sunscreen in it but I am completely failing to see what can be anti-age about this product given that there is no SPF. It does conceal and it does give a kind of blur effect on the skin (mildly) but despite claims to the contrary, settles into fine lines and pores. If you have no lines or open pores then it won’t settle and there’s not one single older model that I can see on their websites. In the US, the same product is called Instant Age Rewind. The one thing that this product does do is mattify. Bizarrely, it’s recommended that you avoid layering with products containing Zinc but doesn’t say why – I can only think it’s because it is silicone based and they won’t work together.
If you have smooth, spot free, unlined skin, this will probably give you all the said effects quite nicely as well as nudging you into the assumption that you need to look younger no matter how young you are in the first place. According to YouGov, only 17% of Maybelline customers are aged between 40-54. Maybelline Anti-Age Perfector 4-in-1 is £13.99 HERE.
