Lil Nas X has long been one of our favorite faces to see on any award show carpet, and he’s once again graced us with an insane outfit to Slack about. On Sunday August 28th, the Grammy winner strutted down the black carpet at the 2022 MTV Video Music Awards, shirtless and strapped into a gigantic feathered headpiece. Complete with sparkly green eyeliner that fans out like feathers, we’ve officially dubbed this look “the goth Big Bird.” And you know what? We couldn’t be more into it. 

The “That’s What I Want” singer, more formally known as Montero Lamar Hill, might have had to practice walking in this glamorous get-up. The circular headdress, which fans out behind him, is complemented by a matching tiered skirt and sparkling waistband. With all this and the glittering statement jewelry, you might hardly notice he’s completely shirtless — if it weren’t for how insanely glowy his skin is. Truly, how? Drop the body-care routine!
