LeChase Construction Opens Infection Control Training Center – HCD Magazine
Recognizing heightened demands tied to safety and cleanliness for construction crews following the COVID-19 pandemic, LeChase Construction Services opened a new training center.
There, employees learn best practices for containing noise, dust, and contaminants during construction of hospitals, pharmaceutical research centers, and other critical facilities.
The new Infection Control Risk Assessment (ICRA) Training Center is located at LeChase’s office in Armonk, N.Y. It incorporates classroom and hands-on training for the firm’s employees and subcontractors.
Lessons include how to use:
- temporary hard barriers to contain construction work areas
- HEPA filters to remove dust and other contaminants
- personal protection and cleaning methods, such as HEPA-filtered vacuums and sticky mats to remove dust before leaving an enclosed construction area.
