Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer Blush Swatches And Review

Many brands released blushes for Spring and Summer this year. Moreover, I went from using only powder blushes to cream and liquid blushes. Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer Blush is one of the new releases, I tried.

According to Sephora this is “A weightless cream blush that delivers buildable, natural cheek color with the skincare power of a moisturizer. Buildable, long-lasting cheek color effortlessly melts into skin creating a soft natural flushed look perfect for a no-makeup makeup look. This ultra-moisturizing formula provides 12 hours of weightless tinted hydration for the perfect skincare-meets-makeup pop of color.”

Packaging Of The Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer Blush

This new blush comes in a squeeze tube packaging. This makes it easy to travel with. I am also not scared to drop it and accidently shatter the product. Sadly, it has happened with a few of my powder blushes. That’s why I like to travel with cream products.

Formula Of The Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer Blush

Highlighted ingredients include Raspberry Seed which conditions the skin. And also Prickly Pear that hydrates the skin. This cream blush is free of sulphates and parabens.

My Experience

I am on a cream blush kick lately. They are so easy to apply and they give you a light flush of color. I picked the Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer Blush in the color Sun Drenched. This is a very pigmented blush. Additionally it spreads easily and you actually need just a little bit. Moreover I could apply it over foundation without disturbing the makeup underneath. I do have to work quickly though. So I dot one cheek, blend the shade and then work on the other cheek. Working on one cheek at a time works with this formula for me.

Also the squeeze tube is great to travel with. The color looks intimidating at first. But it looks natural on the cheeks. Simply remember that a little goes a long way. Just a few tiny dots. You can always add more later. I use my fingers or brush to apply this blush. If I use my fingers to apply this blush, I use a light patting motion to blend it. It stays for 8-9 hours on my combination skin after which it starts to fade.

Overall I feel this might take some skill to apply. You have to take just the tiniest bit and remember to blend fast. So this might not be for someone who is just getting into makeup.

Now for the swatches. I was at Sephora and luckily I have swatches of all the shades except one. Unfortunately they did not have the shade Promenade at that particular Sephora. Apologies, if you came here just for that shade. But you can still see the swatches of the rest of the shades.

Pros

  • Pigmented, blendable and buildable
  • Feels weightless
  • Fragrance-free and long-lasting

Cons

  • You have to work on one cheek at a time otherwise it starts to dry
  • May not be beginner friendly
