[unpaid/sample/affiliate/ad] So, this is fun – and it’s genuinely cooling especially if you pop the stick in the fridge.
The stick is cucumber scented so it puts you in a fresh frame of mind from the get-go and it feels like there is some kind of mint or menthol but I can’t see it listed in the ingredients. I’m touching my chest where I’ve stroked a line of the stick and it definitely feels cooler than the rest of my skin in that area – I’ve got a chilly stripe! There are a lot of extracts in this – cabbage, apple, cucumber and aloe as examples – but they’re not really at a high enough doses to be particularly meaningful. However, it feels gentle and soothing so I’m happy.
The second part of the set comprises six sets of cooling eye pads – cucumber and aloe appear much higher on the INCI and these eye pads straight away take the heat out of the undereye skin. If you’ve had a bit too much sun or are puffy from hayfever, they’re absolutely perfect. I’m not really a fan of this type of thing but I do very much like these and especially that they adhere to the skin so you can walk about without fear of them sliding down your cheeks. Even better when you take them off and your skin suddenly feels relieved. The set is £25 HERE which feels a bit on the high side but it does live up to the brief and it looks so appealing. If you’re a savvy shopper and like to get your present list ticked off, take a look at the 24 Karat Life set in the sale – reduced from £90 to £30 HERE. What a steal!
