Homburg – The Fashiongton Post
Homburg — is a men’s hat with a longitudinal dent (called a “gutter crown”) at the top, turned-up brim and a ribbon along the crown. The hat is made of hard felt, a flat brim shaped in a “pencil curl”, and a ribbon-bound trim about the edge of the brim.
The production of the hats of this style started at a little town named Bad Homburg vor der Höhe, in Germany, at the Philipp Möckel hat factory.
