Have dry skin? Mine loves and soaks up every bit of the Evolve Organic Beauty Multi Peptide 360 Moisture Cream!

If there’s a brand that I wish were more easily accessible to me, it would be Evolve Organic Beauty. I tried some products on a whim via an online purchase, and I’ve been impressed with them all thus far. If anything, I’m keen to try more! The latest product to impress me is the Evolve Organic Beauty Multi Peptide 360 Moisture Cream.

While I’m not rabid about using natural products for my skincare, I do enjoy using good quality natural brands for creams and moisturisers. I tend to focus on using serums that are packed with active ingredients, and for me, a moisturiser or a cream serves to seal in the goodness of the serums.

Having tried many types of textures and creams from different brands, I’ve found that a well formulated natural-based moisturiser or cream usually works well for my skin. I think it is to do with the way the ingredients are blended together, and the type of ingredients that are used. The texture usually appeals better to me.

Having already tried 2 Evolve Organic Beauty products in the past (the Gentle Cleansing Melt, and the Daily Renew Facial Cream) I had high hopes for the Multi Peptide 360 Moisture Cream, and I’m happy to report that it did not disappoint at all! 😀

Evolve Organic Beauty Multi Peptide 360 Moisture Cream for dry skin

The Multi Peptide 360 Moisture Cream states that it is for dry skin, which is what drew me to purchase it in the first place. I have dry skin, and I am always in the market for a good product that addresses it well, without drowning my skin in grease.

Evolve Organic Beauty is a brand of skincare from the UK that is natural, vegan, cruelty-free and eco-friendly. The products are made in small batches, and are made with natural and organic ingredients. I do notice that there is a shorter shelf-life, which might be due to not including a lot of preservatives in the creams.

The key ingredients of the Multi Peptide 360 Moisture Cream, as taken from the Evolve Organic Beauty website are:

  • Sacha Inchi Peptides This Peruvian superfood helped the ancient Incas live to over 100 years old. Natural Inchi Peptides are clinically proven to improve facial firmness, reduce wrinkle volume and smooth the skin, restructuring by improving dermal density.
  • Cupuacu Butter Native to the Amazon rainforest, Cupuacu butter is related to the cacao plant. This luxurious, nourishing butter is packed with phytosterols that can help support collagen and elasticity, so skin has the potential to stay younger-looking and more supple for longer as well as maintaining the skin barrier to improve hydration.
  • Prickly Pear Ultra refined elixir from Mexican Cacti (known as ‘prickly pear’), shown to calm irritated skin whilst also having excellent hydrating properties due to the high content of water binding compounds. It is exceptionally soothing and firming with strong antioxidant properties.
  • Cacay Oil Obtained from the seeds of a majestic Amazonian tree, this oil is packed with Bio Retinol and Linoleic acid to support the skin barrier layer and to lock moisture into the skin

Truthfully, the only ingredient I recognise there is Prickly Pear, which is calming and hydrating to skin. It’s an ingredient I learnt about in the early days of dabbling in natural and organic skincare so it was like seeing an old friend again LOL! 😛

The cream is meant for dry skin, and works to improve skin tone and firmness, and deliver moisture to dry skin. And this, I must say, they deliver on all counts!

Cream has a lush velvety texture that is not heavy

Most creams that target dry skin tend to be heavy and thick in texture. The Evolve Organic Beauty Multi Peptide 360 Moisture Cream does not.

It has a lovely lush, velvety texture, like that of beautifully whipped cream. Creamy, yet light. When I first tried it, I was wondering if they might have made a mistake, and sent me the wrong product!

Unlike most creams targeted at dry skin, it isn’t overly greasy or oily. It is more emollient than a regular daily use cream, and I can imagine that someone with oilier skin might struggle with this. For me however, it just sinks right into my skin without leaving any residue, and leaves it feeling and looking hydrated, moisturised and comfortable.

I usually use it at night, but I’ve also used it in the day, and it works for me. I do prefer it for evening use, as my daily sunscreen is already quite heavy in texture and I don’t like layering products that are too heavy on top of each other.

For the evenings, I dot it on my skin, and massage it right into the skin, and it seems to get to work right away, to nourish it. Some nights, when I don’t feel like being too diligent, I just use a basic all-in-one serum, and layer a generous layer of the Multi Peptide 360 Moisture Cream over, and go to sleep. My skin seems to enjoy this too!

What can you hope to experience

For me, it wasn’t anything terribly life-changing. However, as I have said, I like using products with natural ingredients for creams and moisturisers. For some reason, the combination of ingredients and oils tend to work better for my skin. This more so, when I do not expect my moisturisers or creams to do very much more than moisturise my skin.

For this purpose, I’d say the Evolve Organic Beauty Multi Peptide 360 Moisture Cream ticks all the right boxes. Not only is it comfortable on my skin, it moisturises my skin a treat. It is made with oils that my skin loves, and it allows me to get away with not using a facial oil, because it is just so nourishing on its own!

I like that my skin feels comfortable and moisturised, and stays moisturised through the night in an air-conditioned room. I also like using this cream over stronger active ingredients like retinol serums or glycolic acid serums. It helps buffer the harsh effects of the actives, and prevents the skin from being overly irritated.

I was using the Chanel Sublimage L’Extrait de Creme, which is a very nice cream albeit with not a very nice price tag, and I found that alternating it with this Multi Peptide 360 Moisture Cream helped it go further. My skin was not doing any worse on this cream, and there’s Vanilla Planifolia oil in this cream too!

I’m not saying it’s a dupe of course, but I used both these creams interchangably, and my skin loved it. Or maybe my skin just has expensive taste 😛

I have noticed some people commenting on the scent. There is no parfum in the ingredients list, which I appreciate. The scent is what I’d describe as ‘earthy’. It isn’t terribly unpleasant, if you don’t expect a fragrant cream like most of what you’d find on the shelves. However, I can understand why some people might find it unpleasant, as it isn’t immediately familiar nor flowery. I don’t have a problem with it at all.

I didn’t experience any breakouts and in fact, I don’t have any complaints aside from the fact that I must buy this online, and it seems to be increasingly harder to do so these days from my favourite online stores 🙁

IN A NUTSHELL

The Evolve Organic Beauty Multi Peptide 360 Moisture Cream is a multipurpose cream that you can use both day and night, and is formulated for dry skin. I have dry skin and live in the tropics, and I use this only in the evening. I love the texture, which is lush and velvety, and melts into the skin. It nourishes and moisturises my skin well, especially over harsh active ingredients like retinol and glycolic acid serums, and I personally find it value for money as I don’t find it particularly pricey, considering other options in the market.

Have you tried this Evolve Organic Beauty cream or any other product from the brand?

The brand does have a rather wide range of products for most skin types. There are maybe one or two more items I’d like to try for my skin type, but I’d definitely be looking to buy the Facial Cleansing Melt once I see it go on sale on one of the platforms I frequent 🙂 Let me know if there’s anything else from the brand I should consider!
