Environ Anti-Pollution Mask Review | British Beauty Blogger

[unpaid/sample/affiliate/ad] In 13 years, I don’t think I’ve ever reviewed Environ, but I do know several people that use it religiously – it seems that it’s one of those brands that once you try it you want to try everything else. I’m certainly getting that vibe having tested these products (with the exception of the body oil which is pleasant but not notable) recently. I know it’s mainly sold through salons and it’s certainly not vegan or vegetarian (there’s a bovine extract cream that needs to go in the bin right now) so there are parts of this brand that need a re-look to bring it up to where we are right now in terms of ingredients and ethos. That said, The Environ Anti-Pollution Mask is one of the most pleasant masks I’ve used (this very day) and it was much needed after Monday and Tuesday’s sweat-a-thon. I’m really impressed with it.

Kaolin can be a bit of a trigger for my skin these days but in this formula, my skin didn’t react other than in the positive. My face felt immediately cooled and soothed and hours later is still soft and hydrated thanks to jojoba esters, Rose of Jericho, lactobacillus ferment and olive oil. Interestingly, while the ‘purifying’ label flags it to me as more for oily or breakout skin (and it contains Acnicidol which balances sebum), there’s no dry-out feeling – quite the opposite – so I think really anyone can use it. It’s for you if your complexion gets flustered and red, if you are exposed regularly to pollution or you like a low maintenance mask that increases hydration.

As you can see, there’s a Anti-Pollution spritz option too which is pleasant enough but I think the mask very much outshines it. Once I’d taken it off, I used REN Evercalm Barrier Support Elixir HERE and didn’t even get flushed in yoga despite the air con being sub-par. I haven’t found a really decent mask for quite some time so I’m very happy with this one – don’t forget to use it in the morning if you can where you’re not just sleeping on the results. Also, it’s a kind of grey-blue and you will get smurf vibes from it. You can find it HERE for £40.

I didn’t get particularly excited about the body oil – it’s perfectly decent but there’s a lot of competition out there and it doesn’t stand out. It’s £42 for 100ml and honestly, I’d rather have the mask!
