Don’t miss these fantastic, new additions to the TNMA Edit! — That’s Not My Age

This summer, I’ve been working behind the scenes with a couple of my favourite small business owners on new additions to the That’s Not My Age Edit. When I launched the collection, almost a year ago, I knew I wanted to include a long, silk neck scarf and so spoke to Laslett England designer and founder Melanie about collaborating together. We both share a love of vintage textiles and menswear-inspired design and agreed to work together to create a luxurious accessory.

I’m delighted with the snazzy, new scarf, proudly named ‘Seaside Vintage.’ The colourful stripe will pair beautifully with many items in your wardrobe (and mine; it looks fantastic with olive green). Created in Melanie’s Hastings studio, it’s made from 100% silk satin chiffon, digitally printed and the hand rolled edges are finished off in Macclesfield, Cheshire. The Seaside Vintage scarf is a longline style (157cm in length), based on a 1920s design and cut on the bias with pointed ends, so it has a beautiful fluidity and drape. (RRP £155) The slinky scarf looks great knotted, simply draped or looped around the neck, and Melanie often uses one as a headband.

And if that’s not exciting enough…Laura Dern (playing Dr Ellie Sattler) wears a Laslett England scarf in the latest Jurassic World film!

When I told the designer and new friend  Charlotte Day I was taking a vacation, she very kindly sent me this grey marl ‘Vintage’ T-shirt. After a popular response on Instagram, and the success of our slogan sweatshirts, we’ve decided to add a short run of T-shirts to the TNMA Edit. The grey marl T-shirt has always been one of my signature pieces  – and a hugely underrated item of clothing. Great with jeans and a blazer, tucked into a maxi skirt or peeping out from underneath a jumpsuit. The T-shirt shape and fabric has been developed by Charlotte in collaboration with Harry Duley (designer of big pants), it’s an easy-to-wear shape with a drop-back hemline. The organic cotton fabric is perfect in weight, drape, softness and sustainability, cool to wear in all senses of the word (which I can personally attest to after road-testing it during a scorching Spanish heatwave. See below).

‘Vintage’ is emblazoned across the front in navy blue, varsity-style flock lettering. The t-shirt is handmade in the UK and the slogan reflects our age, wisdom and standing in the world. We are in our prime – and I hope you’ll proudly wear your age with pride. Available HERE; RRP £45.

Stay tuned for new slogan sweatshirts and, due to popular demand, there will be more big knickers, including a high-fit pant, and new colour options of the mid-rise style.
