Megan Thee Stallion Rocks Cutout and Snakeskin Catsuits in Her New Music Video
Megan Thee Stallion’s new music video “Her,” released as part of her sophomore album “Traumazine,” abounds with head-turning costumes, thanks in no small part to her collaboration with Hollywood stylist Law Roach. The first scene starts out strong, showing Megan rapping on a chair, clad in a sharp-shoulder maxi gown complete with built-in opera gloves. The silhouette recalls many a Kim Kardashian-approved Balenciaga look, an aesthetic that appeared on the Couture 2022 catwalk. The floor-sweeping design is accessorized with silver drop earrings, with Megan’s sleek black hair cascading down past her lower back.
The video segues into another scene, showcasing the rapper and a group of dancers moving in blond wigs. Megan wears a long-sleeve halterneck catsuit printed with a snakeskin motif that melts into pantaboots. Keeping the focus on her striking costume, her accessories are kept minimal with simple diamond studs. Meanwhile, her backup dancers look equally dazzling in silver metallic bodysuits and black latex thigh-high boots, styled with short bobs.
Catsuits are a central theme of the video as the self-proclaimed “hot girl coach” later switches into yet another iteration. Standing on a pedestal surrounded by the same group of dancers, the 27-year-old star raps in a metallic one-piece with cutouts down the entire bodice. The look is finished with matching ankle booties, with her hair reverted back to the straight black waves from the first scene. Her dancers trade their metallic costumes for white bodysuits, stockings, and thigh-high boots.
Although the entire video is edited in black and white, the details of the costumes remain prominent throughout. Ahead, take in every one, then appreciate the Jean Paul Gaultier set she wore to promote her new album on Aug. 14.
