The things I would do to attend Doja Cat‘s hair appointments — a place where magic comes to life on her head. Back in June, she turned to white-blonde, ’70s-style blowout waves that we’ll never, ever get enough of — and she added her signature Doja touch to the trend with a cotton-candy-pink stripe. Now, not long after, she’s added her own touch to yet another trend: money-piece highlights in the form of two golden-blonde streaks against black-brown hair. 

On July 8, she posted an upside-down picture of her deep-brunette hair with two bleached streaks peeking through at the very front. She and hairstylist Jared Henderson, who you might know as JStayReady, linked up to create this style, ultimately adding to this trend’s collection of celebrity fans. 

We get why Bella Hadid, Dua Lipa, Beyoncé, and so many more have become obsessed. As colorist Natalia Romaniuc previously told Glamour UK, “Money piece highlights are a fuss-free way to change up your look without having to touch the whole head. It’s all about face-framing and contouring the hair.”
