Keeping a Fall Glow with Sephora
Fall is in full swing here in Michigan, I think our local peak color is likely this week and I am here for it! Unfortunately, it also means that the temperatures have had some wide swings lately, and I’m having to do a little extra work to keep my skin looking its best. When I swapped out my morning lotion for a slightly more hydrating version (I went for La Mer’s The Moisturizing Soft Lotion) I added a few things to my Sephora cart that would help me glow!
I have to confess, that I took full advantage of my Rouge status in Sephora’s Beauty Insider Program for this order. I’m typically a point saver, but I’ve been on a huge point spending spree recently! There are so many amazing trail sizes available, and many of them have been favorites of mine. So I’m stocking up for travel with samples of one of my favorite hair treatments, a color safe shampoo I’ve done well with, and a volumizer that really volumizes. I was also able to use some points for $10 off! This is your reminder to sign up (for free) if you haven’t yet.
Hyper Skin Fade and Glow AHA Mask
First, one of the skincare mistakes I used to make was avoiding exfoliation when my skin was battling cold, arid weather. I thought I needed all the protection I could get! In reality, I do best with a little gentle daily exfoliation (I love this Tata Harper cleanser every morning) and I might need a once or twice a week boost of a little something extra.
I’ve had my eye on this mask from Hyper Skin for quite a while, and I’m happy to say it’s just what I’ve been looking for! It takes 10-15 minutes, then just wash it off. It uses mandelic and glycolic acids to gently exfoliate, leaving my skin just the right amount of glowy without irritating my sensitive skin. It also has niacinamide, so it will also help even out my skin tone after my summer by the pool. I’ll be stocking up soon and using this all winter!
Peter Thomas Roth Full-Size Eye-Conic Hydra-Gel Patches
I’ve heard the hype about PTR gel patches for years, but I fully admit that I’m not a gel or sheet mask person. I’d rather just smear something all over my face and then hop in the shower to wash it off. But I wanted to target my eye area, and had to finally try out these patches when I saw what an amazing deal this set is! There are 3 full sized eye gel sets, each has 30 sets of eye gels. That’s 90 pairs of gels, 3 kinds to try out… and they are 60% off full price.
I’ve only tried out the Water Drench® Hyaluronic Cloud Hydra-Gel Eye Patches, as they’re meant to super hydrate the under eye area. I’m a bit ashamed it’s taken me so long to try these out, they’re really amazing! They’re gel, and they have a lot of serum-like product on them. They stay put really well on my face, so I can use them when I’m sitting upright, no need to be lounging. I’ve been using them when I feel like I need a bit of a pick me up, and the results have been amazing! I look more alert and my under eye area is definitely plumper.
Charlotte Tilbury Mini Beauty Highlighter Wand Duo Set
As much as I love new skincare, I also wanted to try out a liquid highlighter this fall. The Glowgasm Beauty Light Wands from Charlotte Tilbury have had amazing reviews, and offer just the right amount of shimmer! They catch the light and look pretty, but don’t look like you’ve rolled around in glitter. This set has both Pinkgasm and Spotlight. I love the amount of pigment they each have, I’ve been using Pinkgasm as a blush and then Spotlight is great on my upper cheekbone and inner eye.
This size is great for travel, and I love that it has a sponge tip applicator, I just squeeze a little on to the sponge, swipe where I want to apply the highlighter, and then blend. If you look closely at the applicator, you’ll see that you have to rotate the tip to turn it on and off. Meaning, there’s extra insurance that the product won’t spill all over if you’re travelling with it. Such genius!
What have you been doing lately to keep that glow going all fall?
