These $35 Old Navy Clogs Keep Getting Mistaken For the $170 Version
The last time I recall rounded clogs having a major moment in the spotlight was when I was in high school. Back then, I wasn’t a fan of the trend, or at least I told myself that since there was no way my mom was going to shell out the big bucks on a pair when there were lower-priced versions at our local Payless. Flash to today, when they’re yet again trending in the street style sphere, and now I’m willing to admit that I want a pair badly. Naturally, the ones I want are sold out everywhere, which I’m taking as a sign that my bank account wants to hold onto the $170, so instead, I scoured the internet for the perfect dupes. Enter the Old Navy Faux-Suede Sherpa-Lined Clog Shoes ($35), which I’m so obsessed with that I’m wearing them right now. Read on for my honest review.
What I Like About These Clogs
For starters, I love the look and feel of them. I purchased the Chestnut version in my usual size 10, and they feature a soft-brushed faux-suede upper that’s lined with cozy sherpa. I was surprised by how warm they kept my feet, even on a 25-degree morning in Minnesota. As for the inside, it’s made of faux cork that’s firm yet comfortable. I’ve been wearing them as slip-ons around the house as well as outside. I love that they match everything in my wardrobe and thus require zero effort to style. I’ll probably order the black version, too.
What’s Worth Noting About These Clogs
I have absolutely no complaints about these clogs. I think the major difference between this version and the higher-priced one is that the materials used to create this shoe are synthetic, while the real thing is made of authentic leather, shearling, and cork. As for the Old Navy version, the upper is made of 51 percent recycled polyester and 49 percent polyester and the outsole is made of Ethylene-vinyl acetate (EVA).
Who These Clogs Are Best For
These clogs are best for those like me who want to embrace the rounded-clog trend without having to spend more than $100 or wait for the sold-out version to come back in stock. They’re also a great option for those who prefer to steer clear of animal-derived materials.
