Fall Wedding Guest Dresses

Deciding what to wear to an upcoming wedding is a daunting task. Weddings are special events, so we want to look special too. But the most important thing, no matter what you wear, is to make sure that you feel special. My number one tip for finding the perfect dress for an event? Don’t procrastinate! If you wait until the last minute, you’ll end up picking something you don’t truly love or feel special in. If you have a wedding coming up and you’re still looking for a dress, do NOT worry! I have MANY dress ideas (below), and some questions to help you focus your search.

Ask Yourself

First things first…you need to focus your search by asking yourself these key questions…

1) What is my budget? – Know that you don’t have to spend a ton of money to look and feel your best!
2) How do I want to look? – Sexy, elegant, fashion-forward, pretty?
3) Do you prefer to wear certain colors? – Think about what colors you’ve worn and then received the most compliments. If everyone tells you that you look amazing in red, go for a red dress!
4) What is the dress code? – I know wedding dress codes can be confusing. The Knot has a cheat sheet breaking down what all the dress codes mean here.

By the way, the gorgeous Zimmermann dress I’m wearing above would be perfect for a fall wedding. The flowy material and unique purple paisley print are so beautiful. When I saw it, I thought it looked like something a queen would wear and knew I had to try it on. It made me feel elegant, regal, and oh-so-chic. The puff sleeves, high neck, flattering tie waist (it’s removable), and button detailing are all such beautiful details that make this a standout special event dress for fall. I styled it with some mesh heels, but you could wear it with whatever pair of skin shade heels you have in your closet. It’s pricey so I’m sharing more options below.
